There are so many reasons for people giving up and one of them is simply the health benefits. People who don't smoke are considerably healthier and as a result probably a lot happier. There many different problems people face when quitting however there are also tips that people can follow too. If you want to be healthier and happier, you should also think about exercising more too.

By giving up cigarettes you can feel like there is a huge void in your life. Therefore you need to replace an unhealthy habit with a healthy one. And that can mean starting an exericse regime. You don't necessarily have to go to the gym for hours on end every day. It might be a simple case of going for a walk, cycling, swimming or even taking up dancing lessons. If you do want to do a more focused exercise regime, you can easily buy simple exercise equipment and work out at home.

Really try to get into a routine of exericsing. After a month of this it should simply become a way of life. The difficulty people face is keeping up with their exercise. So, asking a friend if they want to exercise with you could be a good idea too. There are also exercise classes you can go to and it will then feel more like a social event rather than hard work.

You might start with good intentions, get yourself a gym membership, weights, clothing etc but then you start to make excuses or simply loose interest. This is why you need to try and vary what you do. You could start off with yoga, then move onto spinning, then do kick boxing and then go back to yoga. Variety is the spice of life after all.

Another reason why people give up is becuase they exercise after they have finshed work and therefore will be exhausted. All they want to do is to go home, get some dinner and watch TV. So if this sounds like you, it might be better to get up earlier in the morning to exercise.

Be careful about taking stimulants such as coffee to wake you up in the morning. Instead you should drink some tea, which might have caffiene in it but it's a lot less than coffee. You really need to get into a more healthy way of life. Not just in terms of giving up smoking but also in terms of exericse and diet.
